According to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, a Health Coach is a supportive mentor and wellness authority who helps others feel their best through individualized food and lifestyle changes that meet their unique needs and health goals.
Often times, Health Coaches provide their services in private coaching practices with one-on-one and group coaching program.
In summary, Health Coaching is not about a specific diet or only one way of living. Health Coach gives their clients a plan that is specifically tailored for their preferences and lifestyle, that will allow them to achieve their health related goals through a holistic approach. Just as a sports coach helps an athlete reach particular goals, a health coach helps anyone reach variety of lifestyle goals.
The coaching process involves two (or more) people, depending if is a group coaching or a one on one session, where ideas and issues are being discussed and where the strategies on how to arrive at these goals are created. Therefore, as a Health Coach, I offer to my clients a holistic support to achieve a vibrant life, through guidance and accountability.
How do I start?
If you are interested in Individual Coaching, you can sign up for a Free Online Initial 30 minutes session. You will have the opportunity to talk about your life and your goals you would like to accomplish for your health. It’s an opportunity to get a sense of what it feels like to have more support in your life.
